Given the engineering features of the structure, no one, except the occupiers, had the physical ability and means to carry out such an explosion.

This was stated by the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Yusov on the air of the TV channel FREEDOM, Censor.NET reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

"The collection of data is ongoing. Today, there is a huge amount of public information that indisputably proves that the Russian Federation is involved in this terrorist attack. Even if we look at the chronology of the reactions of propagandists, "officials" of the racist regime to today's events, we can see: at first nothing doesn't happen, then it happens, but partially, and then it's Ukraine's fault, but they are very happy that the islands on which our defenders were allegedly based were flooded," Yusov said.

He also emphasized that "given the engineering features of the structure, no one, except the occupiers, had the physical ability and means to carry out such an explosion."

"We have already said that Ukraine has publicly informed its partners through other channels that mining and possible detonation are being prepared. This is not a spontaneous act, it is a terrorist attack that has been prepared for a very long time," Yusov said.

He added that the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine "calculated" various options for the behavior of Russian terrorists, in particular, the possibility of undermining the Kakhovka HPP.

As Censor.NET reported, on the morning of 6 June, it became known that the Russian occupiers had blown up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. According to the Kherson Regional State Administration, the water will reach a critical level in 5 hours after the explosion. Evacuations have begun in the region. Nova Kakhovka is already being flooded. The Korabel district of Kherson is without power, and the gas supply will be cut off in a few hours. National Police and SES units have been put on alert in the Kherson region.

President Volodymyr Zelensky initiated an emergency meeting of the National Security and Defence Council due to the bombing.

According to Energoatom, the racist bombing of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station could have negative consequences for ZNPP, but the situation is under control.

According to Ukrhydroenergo, Kakhovka HPP was completely destroyed as a result of an explosion in the engine room from the inside. The plant is beyond repair. The Prosecutor General's Office opened a criminal investigation into the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP under the article on ecocide.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has already held an urgent meeting of the National Security and Defence Council in connection with the occupiers' explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
