16 Ukrainian citizens evacuated from Middle East to Poland, - MFA. PHOTO

In accordance with the instructions of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working to ensure the safe return of Ukrainian citizens who wish to return from the Middle East to their homeland.

According to Censor.NET, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga is personally overseeing the protection of citizens' rights and the evacuation process.

"On 11-12 March 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, carried out the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from the Middle East to Warsaw," the statement said.

It is noted that Ukrainian diplomats in Poland, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Kuwait ensured the evacuation of 16 Ukrainian citizens who found themselves in a difficult situation due to hostilities in the region.

"We express our sincere gratitude to our Polish colleagues for their organisational support within the framework of #PKWBliskiWschód, as well as to the EU for its coordinating role. Poland has once again confirmed that Ukrainian-Polish solidarity means concrete action," the Foreign Ministry said.

It is also noted that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry continues to provide all necessary assistance to Ukrainian citizens in the Middle East and other regions of the world.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Embassy in the UAE called on Ukrainian citizens who are forced to remain in the UAE and Bahrain to fill out an information and registration form in connection with the security situation in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
