Iryna Romaliiska is a Ukrainian journalist. She graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture with a degree in television reporting. From 2006 to 2011, she worked for Simon TV in Kharkiv and later joined the Ukraina TV channel in Kyiv. In 2013, she left the channel over disagreements with its editorial policy during the Revolution of Dignity.

She has contributed to various media outlets, including Censor.NET, Hromadske TV, Hromadske Radio, and ATR TV.

From 2018 to 2026, she lived in Prague and worked as a television presenter for Radio Liberty’s Current Time project.

Since the summer of 2026, she has hosted news and current affairs programmes on the BUTUSOV PLUS YouTube channel.

Iryna covers major public-interest events, politics, and the war. She reported from Chechnya for Censor.NET. She has also been declared persona non grata in Belarus for covering the 2020 protests there. Russia designated her a “foreign agent” over her work for Radio Liberty and posts on her Facebook page.
